Netcetera acquires Flagship Systems

Steve Weeks is pleased to announce Netcetera’s acquisition of Flagship Systems, a Sophos Gold Partner and top reseller in BC for many years. Flagship’s clients range in size from smaller 50 user organizations to mid-sized companies with in excess of a thousand users. Flagship’s clients are located across Canada and represent a variety of industry segments.

When Flagships owner David Cox decided it was time to retire he wanted to find a buyer whom he felt would take good care of his loyal clients and their businesses and be able to add new and incremental value. Netcetera was the first company that came to mind because of their reputation and long-standing relationship with Sophos and because Netcetera could offer a variety of additional services and expertise to compliment the Sophos offerings. It didn’t hurt that David and Steve have known each other for many years either. They met originally in the early eighties when David was the Western Regional Manager for MAI Canada. David hired Steve as an Account Executive and they worked together for the next 5 years selling and installing MAI mini computers throughout BC. Since leaving MAI both have kept in touch and it seems fitting that this opportunity has brought them back together once again.

Netcetera is a Platinum Sophos Business Partner, a Member of the Sophos Partner Advisory Council and a regular beta tester for new Sophos products. Netcetera currently holds over 17 Sophos certifications and is one of the first partners in North America to have SFOS certified architects on the new XG platform. Netcetera has been in business since 1999 and has built a loyal base of satisfied clients by focusing on specific products and technologies it believes will add the most value for its clients. Netcetera has grown for many years and was well positioned to take over the Flagship business when the opportunity was presented.
